Eco-friendly transport

Walking, cycling, using alternative means of transport, Aix-en-Provence is a city where moving around can have less of an environmental footprint.

On foot

Aix-en-Provence is a city where the distances are relative. You can, if you wish, go round the market, visit the museum, see a film and end up at the disco without leaving the city centre. With its semi-pedestrianised historic centre, Aix is a town which is great to stroll around.

By bike

With over 300 days of sunshine a year, cycling is the perfect way to get about and enjoy the city. A large number of bicycle parking stations have been installed on the ring road.

By Diabline

The Diablines are small electric vehicles which travel around the narrow semi-pedestrianised car-free streets in Aix city centre all day long. Each Diabline can carry up to 7 people. The vehicle has a low floor for easy access.
