The International Festival of Lyric Art

Group Reservations for tour operators and travel agents: :

Created in 1948, the festival hosts amateurs of lyric art from all over the world each year, in July.

Residence of the London Symphony Orchestra (2010 – 2013)

Beginning of the multi-year residence of the London Symphony Orchestra.
This residence will run from 2010 to 2013. The years 2010 and 2012 will focus essentially on the symphony concert and on a variety of musical and educational activities; 2011 and 2013 will see the LSO participating in two opera productions each. In 2011 this will be a Mozart opera conducted by Sir Colin Davis, and La Traviata (the first European Traviata for Natalie Dessay) under the baton of Louis Langrée.
In 2010 Sir Colin Davis will conduct two outstanding concerts at the Grand Théâtre: one dedicated to Berlioz (Sir Colin has directed some of the most inspired performances of the composer's work), and the other to Mozart and Sibelius.
