In the heart of a triangle between Aix,
Marseille and Marignane, Cabriès is a
mediaeval village perched on a crag. Its
name is derived from "Cabre" (goat in
Provençal).
Heritage
- Edgar Mélik Castle Museum: This former fortress was the home of the Counts of Provence, and split up during the French Revolution. The painter Edgar Melik lived
there from 1934 until his death. It now houses temporary exhibitions dedicated to the great names of the history of art.
