Leave Aix by the north, take
the RN 96 towards Venelles, and then follow the D556 towards Pertuis,
then towards Meyrargues, Peyrolles.

Peyrolles-en-Provence
* The
Chapel of St-Sépulcre from the 12th century (listed): its original
form in the shape of a Greek cross reveals a Byzantine influence. Inside
are wall frescoes and sailors' graffiti.
*
6 shrines: St-Marc, St-Joseph, Ste-Anne, Ste-Madeleine,
Mère-de-Dieu
et du Plan. The latter is a listed monument and is the oldest shrine in Provence:
it was built in 1481, the year King René died and Provence was annexed
to France. The Mère de Dieu shrine, built into the walls of a house,
has Latin inscriptions carved on its pillar. The shrine of St-Joseph, dating
from 1670, has a semicircular vault in the shape of a shell. The shrine of
St-Madeleine, with a truncated semi-spherical roof, is on the pilgrimage
route between Marseille and Grenoble.

The Chapel of Notre-Dame-D'Astors: the birthplace of the village, now abandoned;
wall frescoes can still be seen.
Continue on the RN 96 and then
take the D561 towards Jouques.

* Chapel
of Notre-Dame-de-Consolation, on the site of a Celto-Ligurian town of the 1st
century BC.
* Chapel of Notre-Dame-de-la-Roque, 12th century (on the rock of La Roque)
* Church St-Pierre 10th-11th.
* Former 17th-century chapel of St John, now a rural and local history museum.
* Chapel of Ste-Consorce.
Shrines:
* St-Pierre, the oldest in the parish

St-Benoît, at the entrance to the Abbey of Notre-Dame- de-Fidélité,
it was moved and restored in 1980 by the nuns.
* Shrine of St-Joseph, Blanchon private estate.
* Shrine of Notre-Dame-de-la-Bonne-Route, on the road to Vauvenargues.
* Shrine of Ste-Consorce
* Shrine of Notre-Dame-de-Consolation by the RN 96.

Shrine of Notre Dame-de-Bèdes. An unusual shrine with the niche set
in the angle of two low walls.
* Shrine of Notre Dame de la Roque, 16th century. On the road to the former
church of Notre Dame de la Roque.
* Shrine of Notre Dame de Reverdide, on the road to Notre Dame de Consolation.
On the north side, it has the distinctive feature of a font in which holy water
was poured on 8 September, the day of the pilgrimage.
* Shrine of St-Marc, 1842, north of the cemetery.
Take the D11 towards Vauvenargues.

Then the D10 towards St-Marc-Jaumegarde. Chapel of St-Marc, 11th century.
12th century Romanesque church.
