Rendez-vous gourmand - Château Val-Joanis

Guided tours and tasting: Introduction to winemaking methods. Tour of wineries, tour of gardens listed as «Remarkable» and voted French gardens of the year in 2008, tasting of wine and olive oil. Explanation of all the work needed upstream to produce a bottle of Château Val Joanis. From pressing to bottling, visitors are guided through a presentation of the wineries which concludes with tasting of three wines (Château Val Joanis red, rosé and white).

Rendez-vous gourmand - Château La Dorgonne

Guided tours and tasting: The owners of this 70-hectare estate, which produces «sustainable farming» certified wines, are convinced of the value of a wine that respects and commands respect. The wines are sold at maturity, but certain rather fruity cuvees, have a richness which enables them to develop and mellow over time. The visit consists of a tour of the winery and a wine-tasting session with commentary, followed by a light buffet to present locally-made foods (vegetable caviar, tapenade, etc).

Guided tours and tasting: At the entrance to Jouques village, between the Sainte-Victoire mountain and the Luberon, St-Vincent’s Mill has protected and preserved a heritage plantation of 10 hectares of regional olive trees (Aglandaou variety from Haute-Provence). Tour of processing line of this subtly-flavoured oil.
Tour of the last distillery in the Bouches-du-Rhône, where lavender oil and essential oils are produced. Commentaries on the oil production and lavender processes are followed by tasting of local produce.
