Jouques is a village of character in the heart
of the Aix Region, between the Luberon and Sainte Victoire. It is only at the last moment, just after the last hairpin bend, that you catch sight of it with its head in the sky and its feet in the large meadow.

Enjoy a stroll through its narrow, flowered streets that climb to the top of the hill. You will discover the Church of Notre Dame de la Roque (12th century, listed as a Historical
Monument). As you walk through the lanes you will see some fine old houses, covered passageways and lovely fountains, and the elegant 16th-century bishop's residence.

With nearly 8,000 acres of wooded hills and dells, Jouques offers delightful walks and many marked-out paths.
At the Sunday morning market, you will enjoy the atmosphere and scents of a Provence market, with olive oil, local jams, honey and goat's cheese.
