Aix has preserved an outstanding heritage which itself deserves a few days' stay. But it is also the ideal base for roaming the surrounding areas of Provence which, in a radius of just a few kilometres, offers the loveliest landscapes: the Calanques (deep rocky inlets), the Camargue, the Luberon and the French Riviera.
