Management of the site is ensured by the communal Syndicate which brings together all the parishes except Puyloubier.

After the fire of 1989 the priority was given to the removal of charred remains.

So far, 2500 hectares have been cleared to permit reforestation.

Protection and maintenance of monuments (Prieuré and Croix de Provence), public amenities (paths, information boards, car parks), publication of books dedicated to the fauna and flora of and organisation of cultural events are the main aims of the Syndicate.

Created in 1997, the G.S.A. , Group of Survey and Reception, with its park wardens, undertake a huge responsability to protect natural spaces, to inform the public and to maintain the massif.
