With this contemporary fable, Caroline Sury offers an exhibition where twisted drawings, cut-outs, and large installations mingle. The exhibition presents a strange love story.
Melle Latarte is in love. Every morning she wakes up beside her new companion, an elephant with mesmerising charisma. At the beginning, Psychojumbo appears as a brilliant person with a well-tempered character, but is revealed little-by-little to be not only overwhelming, but equally worrying. In the midst of a great confusion, Melle Latarte, with the help of the seven jokers, combine all their strengths to get rid of him.
The exhibition presents this story with the allure of a fable, where it navigates between the intimate and the public. Caroline Sury and Ludovic Ameline play with images, put volume into drawings, and enliven large cuttings to tell you about this strange universe in a funny way.
Meet on Saturday 6th April at 6pm for a ONE-TO-ONE WITH Melle LATARTE at the Musée des Tapisseries. Caroline Sury invites you to visit her different works. The chance to have a drink together and to settle the account with Mr. Psychojumbo. An evening under the sign #balancetonelephant (#standuptoyourelephant). Free entry.

Franck Omer is concerned about the strange relationship between Melle Latarte and his elephant companion, when Caroline Sury asks him about the adventures of his leaning monkey. Drawing animals can sometimes mean talking about lots of other things...
