D'or et d'argent - Costumes lumière

D'or et d'argent - Costumes lumière

La Argentinita (Encarnacion Lopez, 1898-1945), the famous singer, dancer and flamenco choreographer, was also a close friend of the poet Federico García Lorca with whom she founded the famous "Compañía de Bailes Españoles de La Argentinita" and recorded several of his songs including "El café de Chinitas".

For the 50th anniversary of Aix and Grenada becoming twin towns, the exhibition will explore the relationship between both artists and the Bailadora and sister Pilar Lopez's world tours through original documents (letters, posters, photos, drawings etc.), stage costumes and audio and video recordings of some of the most famous performances from the Spanish stage.
