Nicolas Mazet & Kate Davis from the Gallifet Art Centre and the interior designer and gallery owner Charoline Olofgörs are moving in together for the winter in Aix. A unique cohabitation in a townhouse in the Mazarin area, which is being turned into a flat until 19 April. The striking Provençal decor is replaced by Scandi minimalism in keeping with local traditions: communal wooden tables, terracotta pots and vases, a radassière-sofa turned day bed. Charoline, who has Swedish and Finnish origins, loves Scandinavian designs, with a particular predilection for the 20th century. Where there's a flat, there is usually a kitchen. During the exhibition, there will be a series of ‘Supper Clubs' with guest chefs setting to work at the Gallifet ovens to concoct dinners served on a 6-metre-long elliptical table made by Bruno Mathsson for Fritz Hansen. When it's time for a snack, tea and home-made cakes are on offer. Once you are settled in an armchair made by Alvar Aalto to get a better look at a lamp by Max Sauze, then dreams can soon become reality. The pieces on display at Gallifet are all on sale
