Conservatoire Darius Milhaud - musique, danse et art dramatique

The Darius Milhaud Conservatory is housed in a building spanning 7,000 m2. The building was designed by Japanese architect Kengo Kuma.
The conservatoire has a 500-seat auditorium where concerts and performances are held; it is situated at the heart of the City of Aix’s Cultural Forum, between the Pavillon Noir, the Grand Théâtre de Provence and the Cité du Livre.
The Darius Milhaud Conservatoire, a public arts education institution under the educational supervision of the Ministry of Culture, forms an integral part of Aix-en-Provence City Council.

Classified since 1884 as a National School of Music and Dance, it has been a regional conservatoire (C.R.R.) since 2017 and has borne the name of the great Aix-born composer Darius Milhaud since 1972.
