6MIC : salle des musiques actuelles

All through the year, the two rooms with a capacity for 800 and 2000 spectators will showcase over 100 concerts featuring famous artists from France and abroad. From jazz to French chanson via hip-hop, pop, world music, heavy metal or electro, all music styles will be included. The 6MIC also has 5 rehearsal and recording studios for amateur and professional musicians.

The first glance at the architecture designed by the architects Rudy Riciotti and Jean-Michel Battesti intrigues visitors and spectators. The concrete fabric that gives the building its volcanic and mineral appearance is nonetheless a technical feat and a world first. The special "envelope" helps the 6MIC blend into the geological landscape all around and takes on all its full meaning when set in the perspective of Mont Sainte Victoire.
