landscapes, inspiring for artists and fascinating for art-lovers wanting to
contemplate this paradise on earth through the eyes of painters.

Time devoted to first impressions seized on site in sketches or water-colours is
followed by that taken up by painting in the studio, which targets, far from
the motif, what the painter perceives as essential. You will find paintings
using the ochres of Provence and other natural or synthetic pigments; oil
or acrylic paint, water-colours, on different supports such as canvas or
precious papers. Materials, traces and colours endow these paintings with
real powerfulness.
