Galerie Goutal

Founded in 2016, by Vincent Goutal, a former student of the ENS Ulm and Olivia Goutal, Galerie Goutal presents and promotes contemporary creation.
Originally specialising in staged photography and favouring a poetic universe, it represents internationally renowned photographers such as Ole Marius Joergensen (Norway), Formento & Formento (USA), Erik Hijweege (Netherlands) and defends young creation with Pierre Vogel, Geert de Taeye (Belgium), Pierre Ollier.
Since 2019, it has extended to other artistic fields echoing its photographic universe with, among others, the paper sculptor Matt Shlian (USA), the painter Prisca Temporal, the Canadian sculptor and draughtsman Sébastien Gaudette.

The gallery is also known for supporting artists who work around the theme of paper with Ya Ké Shang (France), Pierre Vogel (Marseille), Sébastien Gaudette. Maintaining a long-term relationship of trust with its artists, the gallery continually expands its reach by participating in art fairs and events (Regard de Provence Museum, MIA Milan, Confrontations Photo, Biennale de l'Image Tangible Paris) Located in the Mazarin district of Aix-en-Provence, Galerie Goutal is a relevant part of the PACA region's art scene by regularly participating in the Nuit des Galeries d'Aix-en-Provence since 2017. In 2022, it invested in the first Biennial of Art and Culture of Aix-en-Provence.

With a space of more than 100m2, it establishes a dialogue around the works, favouring conviviality with visitors.
Since 2021, the gallery has been committed to the Necker Hospital with two of its artists, Calixte d'Annunzio and Ya Ké Shang, in order to contribute to the well-being of hospitalised children.
