Hôtel de Carcès
Built around 1590 for Jean Guesnay, Treasurer General of France, the hotel passed in 1612 to the Carcès family.
Built in 1590 for Jean Guesnay, Treasurer General of France, the mansion was acquired by the Carcès family in 1612. Fine late 17th-century door topped by a fanlight decorated with leaves and the magnificent bust of a faun.
The majestic, simple elegance of the 16th-century courtyard has remained almost intact: decorative door with broken pediment and trophies, niches, wide gates and mullion windows.
