Why think that knowledge of wild plants and natural resources is an inaccessible skill, reserved only for botanists or experts? Farmers all over the world - and so-called “primitive” peoples - once knew the treasures of their natural surroundings like the back of their hand.

The explanation is simple: they used them daily for a wide range of purposes such as cooking, textiles, crafts, medicine, and even fire-making.

At Le Temps des Savoir-Faire, the goal is precisely to pass on this knowledge of plants, fungi, and minerals through their practical uses, so they can be more easily remembered, their incredible powers discovered, and their value preserved.

For diverse audiences, workshops are organized around the discovery of edible wild plants, basket weaving, wood carving, clay and its applications, rope-making, pigment and paint preparation, and more.

Each workshop begins with a walk in nature to learn how to identify the resource(s) of interest, followed by a hands-on session putting this knowledge into practice.
