Departmental Park of Arbois
This 800-hectare estate is located in the heart of the 4,500-hectare Arbois plateau, southwest of Aix en Provence. It is a varied area, alternating pine forest around the Europôle with typical Mediterranean vegetation on the rest of the plateau.
This site is crossed by some temporary streams but above all it is marked by a strong mineral presence, a remarkable fauna and flora which give it a unique character.If you are lucky, you will be able to see a couple of Bonelli's eagles on this site. Arbois is one of the rare sites in the Bouches-du-Rhône that welcomes these rare and protected birds.
The General Council is developing sports programs on this site, including archery, mountain bike trails and orienteering. In addition, this site is home to the former horses of the departmental guard.anéenne on the rest of the plateau.
