Vignoble du Roy René
Created in 1922 by Lambesc mayor Jules Reynaud, the Roy René vineyard bears the name of King René, Duke of Anjou and Lorraine, Count of Provence, nicknamed the "Winegrower King", who visited the commune in 1453.
The latter bought the house of Pontèves from the seigneury of Lambesc and gave it to his daughter Yolande.The Roy René vineyard extends over just over 700 hectares around the villages of Lambesc and St Cannat, benefiting from the exceptional exposure of the Chaîne des Côtes and a climate with little exposure to rain or frost.
The terroir emanates from sedimentary clay-limestone and sandy soils, offering a rich diversity of grape varieties: grenache noir, syrah, cinsault, cabernet-sauvignon, merlot, vermentino, sauvignon, grenache blanc....
The cellar store sells AOC Coteaux d'Aix en Provence, vin de pays des Bouches du Rhône, table wines and a wide range of local products.
