Collection Oscar Ghez
Oscar Ghez: A Visionary Collector
Caumont – Centre d’Art
7 November 2025 to 22 March 2026
Caumont – Centre d’Art presents an exceptional exhibition dedicated to the collection of Oscar Ghez (1905–1998). A visionary and passionate industrialist and art collector, Ghez assembled a remarkable collection now housed at the Musée du Petit Palais in Geneva, which he founded in 1968.
Nearly sixty masterpieces will be on display, tracing the evolution of French painting from the late 19th century to the avant-garde movements of the 20th century.
Oscar Ghez stood out for his bold choices, championing artists who were once little-known but later recognised as major figures — such as Caillebotte, Bazille, Bracquemond and Luce — while also giving significant visibility to women artists. A great admirer of portraiture and the human figure, he followed an independent path, often counter to the artistic trends of his time.
Discover this singular collection, shaped by a free and discerning eye, revealing major artistic journeys across half a century of creation.

Mémoire et fraternité
Joann Sfar – La vie dessinée
Joann Sfar – A Life in Drawing
Site-Mémorial du Camp des Milles
On view until 31 October 2025
The Camp des Milles Memorial Site presents a new and original exhibition dedicated to Joann Sfar, author of The Rabbi’s Cat, entitled A Life in Drawing. Divided into two parts, the exhibition retraces Sfar’s artistic and intellectual journey before and after 7 October 2023. It explores his many influences and his commitment to confronting antisemitism, racism and extremism through a deeply personal narrative interwoven with collective history.
Following the exhibition held at the MAHJ in Paris, this new presentation highlights two powerful works created after the tragic events of October 2023: We Shall Live and What to Do with the Jews? In these pieces, Joann Sfar reflects on the future of the Israeli people in all their diversity, and on the prospects for peace with the Palestinians. Through this sensitive and engaged testimony, he delivers a profoundly humanist and fraternal work, firmly rooted in our time.

Claire Vasarely, une vie dans la couleur
Claire Vasarely: A Life in Colour
Fondation Vasarely
On view until 15 February 2026
The Vasarely Foundation presents the first major retrospective devoted to Claire Vasarely, a French artist of Hungarian origin who long remained in the shadow of her husband, Victor Vasarely. Trained at the Műhely in Budapest — often referred to as the “Hungarian Bauhaus” — Claire Vasarely explored a wide range of disciplines from the 1930s onwards, including painting, decorative arts, fashion illustration, posters and tapestry.
This exhibition sheds light on her bold and multifaceted artistic career, revealing a pioneering figure of the Hungarian avant-garde and of twentieth-century women’s art.
Organised in partnership with the Vasarely Museum in Pécs, the retrospective draws on previously unseen archives and a selection of rare works to highlight Claire Vasarely’s free-spirited and visionary approach to creation.
